Oracle Needs to Learn Humility

Dennis Howlett, enterprise software guy and blogger, makes the following point about the difference between SAP and Oracle:

Want to know the difference between Oracle and SAP? Now you know. It’s called humility.

Of course, it’s dangerous to make generalizations when talking about large organizations, but I must agree with Dennis. SAP has certainly had its share of failed projects (see here), but Oracle’s arrogance in the face of project failure is truly the stuff of legends (see here).
